Ensure changes to ICT systems are planned, tested, approved, and communicated to staff in a way that avoids disruption and supports smooth transitions.

Step-by-Step Implementation 1. Define What Counts as a “Change” Switching to a new MIS Upgrading devices across a department Rolling out a new filtering system Deploying multi-factor authentication (MFA) Installing new teaching tools or platforms 2. Use a Change Request Template Include what the change is, why it's happening, who's affected, and the planned date Add a risk rating and notes on communication and rollback Store requests in a shared folder or tracking sheet 3. Get Approval for High-Risk Changes Ask SLT or governors to approve large or high-impact changes Get buy-in from admin or teaching staff where appropriate Don't let significant changes happen without oversight 4.
